3:00 p.m Last stop for Poker Run, Start of 11th Annual Independence Walk at Creative Living Housing at 1120 N. Huntington Street, Medina

WHAT:

6th Annual Ride for Independence Poker Run

Ride your motorcycle, car, or mini-van – all modes of transportation are welcome! Begins with an 8:30 a.m. registration and start at Ken Ganley Nissan in Medina, and ends with our 11th Annual Independence Walk and celebration. All participants will be given a 5 card stud scorecard and map with the Poker Run stops at registration the day of the event. These stops along the 100 mile route will be at meaningful and entertaining locations where you will enjoy food and beverages and have the opportunity to draw a card to add to your Poker Hand. After collecting a full hand of cards by visiting each location, the Three Winning Hands will be determined and announced at the end of our celebration! 1st will receive $250, 2nd will receive $150, and Worst Hand will receive $50.

11th Annual Independence Walk

Begins at the end of the 6th Annual Ride at 3:00 p.m. at our Creative Living Housing site at 1120 N. Huntington Street, Medina. This event is FREE and we invite and encourage all community members to join us in celebration of the Independence of the individuals we serve. The one-mile round-trip parade/walk between our apartments on North Huntington Street and Creative Living Way is open to all, including pets! After our walk, we will eat, socialize, play games, and enjoy music from Patrick the DJ! And, of course, the announcement of our Winning Poker Run Hands!

WHY:



This important fundraiser raises money for Medina Creative Housing's Resident Enrichment Program (REP) which provides educational, social and recreational enrichment opportunities for residents and those served in our programs. By participating in this event, you help enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities!
